How do I arrive in Siena from Florence

BUS – recommended mode of transportation.

1. Shuttle Bus from Florence Airport FLR to S.Maria Novella Bus Station (approx. 30min). You can buy the ticket on-board.

2. SITA/TRA.IN Bus from S.Maria Novella Bus Station to Siena Piazza Gramsci* (approx. 1hr 15min). Please make sure you take the bus labeled “Rapida” (the Rapida will go non stop to Siena). Ticket price: €7.80.You may check the schedule using this link http://www.busfox.com/timetable/

TRAIN

How do I arrive in Siena from Pisa (the train is the best way to get to Siena)

TRAIN

1. train or airport shuttle bus from Pisa Airport PSA to Pisa Centrale Train Station (approx. 3min).

2. depending on the time, you may need to change trains in Pisa Centrale Train Station and take the train to Empoli Train Station (approx. 1hr 20min). (Some trains go to Empoli directly from the Airport.)

BUS

Bus from Pisa Airport PSA to Siena Train Station** (approx. 2hrs). Easy, but runs only twice a day.  Check schedule and prices on the company website at http://www.airportbusexpress.it/Acquisto.aspx?ida=7&idc=19&senso=A

* Piazza Gramsci in the City Center and 20 min by walking from Siena School

** from Siena Train Station to Siena City Center the best way is by taxi in 10-15 min (around 10 euro - you can find a taxi outside the train station)
