Module 1: Your Future?
Module 1 will prepare participants for later modules by introducing them to the workshop, and by exploring:
- their expectations and wishes for the workshop;
- their motivation;
- their personal skills and attributes with respect to work and entrepreneurship; and
- the communication and intercultural awareness and skills, that will help them to find their way in both deaf and hearing communities.
Personal Objectives for this Workshop
This activity will allow participants the opportunity to explore their own personal objectives for this workshop and discuss these in relation to what they want and what they need in order to gain employment/start up their own business.
Personal Skills and Attributes
This activity will allow participants the opportunity to explore their own personal skills and attributes and to discuss these in relation to what they want and what they need, in order to gain employment or set up their own business.
Planning your Career
Participants think about Career Planning – what do they want to be doing in the next 5/10 years?
Role Models
The trainers and/or invited speakers talk about why and how they set up their own business, and the lessons they've learned along the way.

The Hero's Journey
The objective of this activity is that participants begin to see their life as a story.
