Knowing yourself means you know how to navigate in an environment that is not designed for signing, deaf people. Participants discuss the difference between real barriers and prejudices that create barriers.
Creating the Public Persona
The participants reflect on their personal skills, communication skills and competencies as deaf sign language users, in relation to a hearing environment.
Cultural Differences between Hearing and Deaf Worlds
The participants reflect on cultural differences within the employment and business world world between hearing and deaf individuals and how to understand each other's perspective.
